Christmas Gift

Ariel and I decided to make Christmas gifts for each other this year so this was my gift to her. Her very own Ariel Lee action figure with her trusty sidekick Big Black! Not posable at all but it comes with a ball of yarn!

City of Hope

I've been interning as an illustrator at City of Hope, a non profit cancer center. So far its been a pretty good experience. Lately they've been assigning me to draw the buildings on campus.

Tokusatsu

I've been looking a lot at Kaiju and Tokusatsu and have been really inspired by it. I decided to use that as a theme for my scholarship book. As a kid I loved Godzilla and Power Rangers so I've been having a lot of fun using something so nostalgic to me as a subject. I wanted these pieces to just be ridiculous and funny so I created characters that are complete knock offs of Power Rangers, Ultraman, and Godzilla/ Gamera

These are two of my favorite pieces I made for my Notorious class taught by Jim Salvati. I really liked the assignments in the class because it always seemed to include pop culture. The top one was to illustrate a band and the bottom one was to illustrate a movie.
